The Accreditation
accrEDIted© from EDI Accreditation is measured and awarded, based on our unique and comprehensive EDI Accreditation Framework©. Our framework of 120 measures considers the EDI performance of an organisation across 3 categories: People, Environment and Culture.
Our Accreditation cannot simply be bought – it is only awarded to organisations who genuinely meet our exacting standards.
We measure and analyse who is represented in the organisation and where, if pay and rewards are equitable, if employee policies, operations and procedures are fair and fit for purpose, removing barriers and providing equal opportunities for everyone to thrive.
Uniquely, and most importantly, every measure is also evidenced by understanding how your people actually FEEL!
Good policies do not automatically reflect the authentic culture of an organisation. Our accreditation is only awarded where data and policies align with the lived reality of the people working there.

What to consider when choosing an EDI accreditation?
What is measured and assessed?
Check how thorough the accreditation is. Ask about the measures that are included and how the data and results are gathered. Will it provide you with all the insights and benchmarking you need to achieve your goals?
Is the accreditation intersectional and cover all the protected characteristics of Equality Act 2010?
People are intersectional (more than just one thing). So, whilst understanding the needs of a marginalised group of people is useful, it is better to understand the layered needs of everyone! Check an accreditation will give you comprehensive intersectional results covering the Equality Act 2010 and more.
Do you need to be an EDI expert to understand the findings?
Sometimes it feels like you need to be an EDI expert or psychologist to make sense of your results. Remember to ask what format results are provided in and how easy they will be to understand and action?
How will it help me reach my EDI goals?
Check the results will include tailored information that aligns to your EDI goals and will guide you to reach those goals.
Is the accreditation genuinely impartial?
Some EDI audits and accreditations are offered by training or consulting companies to promote their main services. Check if the accreditation provider offers other services. If they do, find out if there is an obligation/expectation to buy their other services based on the outcome of your accreditation.
Is the accrediting organisation qualified to assess organisations?
With increasing interest in EDI, lots of companies responded to this demand by adding EDI training, consulting or accreditation/audit services to their toolkit without the necessary deep subject matter expertise. EDI is complex and multi-faceted, don’t be afraid to check their credentials before committing.
Why choose accrEDIted© from EDI Accreditation?
- Our comprehensive EDI Accreditation Framework©, measures and evaluates 120 factors influencing EDI in the workplace. The framework combines factual HR data with employee experiences and sentiments, providing the most thorough insight and assessment of your organisation’s EDI commitment.
- Our Accreditation is intersectional, considering the nine protected characteristics covered by the Equality Act 2010 (age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation). This ensures the full spectrum of “diversity”, recognised by UK law, is effectively covered. We also provide insights into characteristics not covered by the Act, such as socio-economic background and social mobility.
- Our accreditation report is written in plain English, making it accessible and easy for everyone to understand. We deliver clear, detailed information benchmarking your current performance, and prioritised recommendations for ongoing improvement. To guide authentic change and maximise your ROI with actionable insights.
- We only accredit organisations – nothing else. We do not offer Consulting or Training solutions, so that we remain unbiased and don’t profit by selling additional services based on your results.
- Our Independent Accreditation Panel rigorously reviews every application to guarantee a fair and impartial assessment.
- We partner with leading Human Rights charities to ensure our accreditation is fit for purpose and meets the needs of every community. Our Charity Partners provided expert guidance on specific Protected Characteristics to create our EDI Accreditation Framework© and collaborate with us continuously to keep us educated, informed, and knowledgeable.
- Our commitment to transparency and integrity distinguishes us from the rest. We empower organisations to take meaningful steps on their EDI Journey.
Want to change the world, not just the workplace?
So do we! We donate 5% of our profits to our Charity Partners, meaning that every accreditation we perform contributes to their vital work, such as funding helplines for victims of hate crimes, lobbying for legislative change, and supporting marginalised communities. Our donation helps fund the vital work our partners do to uplift marginalised communities and advocate for their rights in the world, not just the workplace.
